Website Visitors

Except as described below, BookRenter TikiTribe does not collect or require users of it's service, http://www.tikitribe.com/, to furnish personally-identifying information. Like most website operators, TikiTribe collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. TikiTribe's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how TikiTribe's visitors use its website. From time to time, TikiTribe may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, for example, by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its service.

BookRenter TikiTribe also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. BookRenter TikiTribe does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information Members

BookRenter TikiTribe enables certain users to participate in or promote referral marketing campaigns for advertisers on the TikiTribe network. Those users who would like to participate in a TikiTribe campaign requires TikiTribe to know a little bit more about them, i.e., personally-identifying information. To participate in a BookRenter TikiTribe campaign, users must provide their name and email address . TikiTribe does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And users can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities (ie. participating in a TikiTribe campaign).

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. TikiTribe and certain advertiser partners on the TikiTribe network may use cookies to help TikiTribe identify and track visitors, their usage of TikiTribe service to participate in TikiTribe campaigns, and their website access preferences. It is possible to link cookies to personally-identifying information. TikiTribe, however, does not do so. Instead, it uses the information provided by cookies to develop a better understanding of how TikiTribe's visitors use, and to facilitate those visitors interactions with, TikiTribe's service. TikiTribe visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before linking to TikiTribe's website, with the drawback that certain features of TikiTribe's website may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

TikiTribe discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on TikiTribe's behalf or to provide services on behalf of TikiTribe, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using TikiTribe's website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. TikiTribe does not, and subject to its right to change this policy (see below) does not currently have plans to, rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, TikiTribe discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when TikiTribe believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of TikiTribe, third parties or the public at large. TikiTribe takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, BookRenter TikiTribe may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in TikiTribe's sole discretion. TikiTribe will alert all visitors as to whom it maintains personally-identifying information of any change to this policy, by email addressed to the most recently provided personal email address. Any and all changes will also be reflected on this page. TikiTribe encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

Updating of Personally-Identifying Information, and Opt-Out

BookRenter TikiTribe permits its visitors to freely update, correct or delete any personally-identifying information maintained by TikiTribe. To do so, visitors need only look for the links and other tools available on TikiTribe's website or contact TikiTribe by email. Visitors who no longer wish to receive materials distributed pursuant to a TikiTribe mailing list should notify TikiTribe by the same means.

Membership Eligibility

BookRenter TikiTribe's services are available only to, and may only be used by individuals who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law. Without limiting the foregoing, TikiTribe's services are not available to children (persons under the age of 18) or to temporarily or indefinitely suspended TikiTribe members. If you are under the age of 18, you can use this service only in conjunction with, and under the supervision of your parents or guardians. If you do not qualify, please do not use TikiTribe service. Further, your TikiTribe account (including feedback) and User ID may not be transferred or sold to another party.

Fraud

Without limiting any other remedies, TikiTribe may suspend or terminate your account if it suspects that you (by conviction, settlement, insurance or escrow investigation, or otherwise) have engaged in fraudulent activity in connection with the TikiTribe service.

Restricted Activities

Your use of the TikiTribe service to participate in certain TikiTribe campaigns shall not: (a) be false, inaccurate or misleading; (b) be fraudulent or involve the sale of illegal services or items; (c) infringe any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy; (d) violate any applicable law, statute, professional code of conduct, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to restrictions on sharing of fees, restrictions on giving referral fees, consumer protection, unfair competition, antidiscrimination or false advertising); (e) be defamatory, trade libelous, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing; (f) be obscene or contain child pornography; (g) contain any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, easter eggs or other computer programming routines that may damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information; (h) create liability for us or cause us to lose (in whole or in part) the services of our ISPs or other suppliers; and (i) link directly or indirectly to or include descriptions of goods or services that are prohibited under this Agreement or ones that you do not have a right to link to or include.

License

Solely to enable TikiTribe to use the information you supply us with, so that we are not violating any rights you might have in that information, you agree to grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise the copyright, publicity, and database rights (but no other rights) you have in your information, in any media now known or not currently known, with respect to your information. TikiTribe will only use your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
